Joshua Vacanti received a standing ovation from all four coaches last week after a rough start on season 21 of ‘The Voice.’ In his most recent appearance, the New Yorker took another creative risk during the ‘Challenge Week’ show; which aired on Monday, November 29.

On the occasion of their second wedding anniversary, Joshua devoted his most recent set to his wife while simultaneously battling for a Top 8 berth. The 28-year-old crooner gave an incredible performance of Alicia Keys’ multi-award-winning song ‘If I Ain’t Got You’.

Before enthralling the rest of the coaches, including Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson, John Legend; who had barred Ariana Grande from stealing Joshua at the start of the season, gave him some useful advice. Users on social media who had previously been offended by the singer’s performances praised his last performance; and stated that he was the only deserving competitor remaining to win.

The surviving singers on Season 21 of ‘The Voice’ competed to fill the top eight positions; as two will be eliminated in the next week, leaving only one to survive. Joshua is well known for his Broadway-style singing, but for this week’s challenge; he chose a different genre and nailed it with a soulful vibe.

Blake Shelton told him that Joshua had blown him away yet again; while John noted that he liked how Joshua took risks every week and eventually paid him off. On Tuesday, November 30, the singing reality show will premiere its second episode. Only the top eight competitors will advance to the semi-finals; which will be telecast in the first week of December.

“K I’m sorry but Joshua is the only super talented person left and deserves to win. This was an incredible performance with ZERO mishaps. We stan,” one fan remarked of Joshua’s last set on social media. This was a flawless performance with no hiccups. “Dont love this arrangement but his voice makes up for it! so powerful every single performance,” wrote another user.

One user said, “Has gotten better through the competition.  But dude, get a new costume coordinator. That 70’s ladies garb has to go”. Joshua was “the only deserving contestant left to win” according to the next one. He sounds wonderful in any genre, exclaimed another. One individual asserted, “Joshua Vacanti, amazing job!!! Alicia Keys aint easy”. And, one user tweeted, “Whoaaa Joshua’s performance of “if i ain’t got you” is phenomenal. it just keeps getting better and better. BRAVO!!”
