The Violent Return Of John Cena In The Peacemaker Redband Trailer

Peacemaker, the next HBO Max/DC Comics series, has a new trailer. The titular character was introduced into the DCEU in James Gunn’s film The Suicide Squad, which premiered on August 6, 2021.

Peacemaker will be a spin-off following him. Gunn also developed the show, authored all of the episodes’ scripts, and directed at least five of them.

The show will launch on January 13, 2022, taking advantage of The Suicide Squad’s COVID-19-related distribution delays to arrive so soon after the first season.

John Cena will reprise his role as Peacemaker, the weapons specialist who is so dedicated to his values that he would go to any extent to attain them, becoming a villain in the process.

Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Robert Patrick as Peacemaker’s father, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn, and Freddie Stroma as Vigilante round out the primary characters.

HBO Max has released a beautiful new teaser for Peacemaker for the new year, as promised by James Gunn on Twitter last week.

The visual trailer for the R-rated DCEU series features Cena reprising his role as the antihero established in The Suicide Squad. It teases Gunn’s signature filthy comedy, which was on display in his previous DC work, as well as a couple of the show’s villains.
