The Original Story Of Spider-Man: No Way Home Didn’t Include The Multiverse

The multiverse was not mentioned in the original storyline for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

After a brief disagreement that threatened to pull Tom Holland’s wall-crawler out of the MCU, Marvel Studios and Sony’s next partnership almost didn’t happen.

Thankfully, they were able to find a medium ground; otherwise, Jon Watts’ record-breaking picture would not have been made.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker went on his most daring journey yet, which also required him to make the greatest personal sacrifice.

Following Mysterio’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) malicious confession at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the young hero had to deal with the public’s discovery of his secret superhero identity. Apart from that, Peter has battled villains from different universes.

Despite Doctor Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) best efforts, the sorcerer’s modified spell accidentally exposed Earth to multiverse threats.

As a result, numerous characters from prior Spider-Man franchises made cameo appearances, including Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield repeating their respective roles as the hero.

However, prior to all of this, Spider-Man: No Way Home didn’t appear to include the multiverse at all
