The Honest Trailer For Red Notice Roasts Netflix’s Painfully Average Film

Red Notice is the subject of the latest edition of Screen Junkies’ Honest Trailers series, which roasts the painfully ordinary and brainless Netflix film.

Rawson Marshall Thurber wrote, directed, and produced the action-comedy, which follows FBI Agent John Hartley as he reluctantly teams up with famed art thief Nolan Booth to track down fellow notorious criminal The Bishop and a collection of priceless eggs dating back to Cleopatra’s time.

Red Notice stars Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot, as well as Chris Diamantopoulos, Ritu Arya, Ivan Mbakop, Vincenzo Amato, and Rafael Petards.

Red Notice was developed at Universal Pictures, with Johnson and Thurber reconnecting for their third film together after Universal Pictures produced Central Intelligence and Skyscraper.

Netflix would ultimately buy the rights to the film and spend $200 million on it, making it Netflix’s most expensive original movie to date, surpassing fellow Reynolds starrer 6 Underground.

The film was released in select cinemas and on Netflix in November to mostly negative reviews.

Screen Junkies is focusing on Red Notice for the next episode of its Honest Trailers series, just a month after the film’s premiere.
