Taylor Swift’s “Carolina” Song Out Now, Know The Story Behind The Haunting Song

Yesterday Taylor revealed through an Instagram story that she will be releasing her new song “Carolina” today.

It is a theme song of the movie named “Where The Crawdads Sing”, this  song was also featured in the trailer itself and now it’s officially  released.

She tweeted, ” About a year & half ago I wrote a song about the story of a  girl who always lived on the outside, looking in. Figuratively &  literally. The juxtaposition of her loneliness & independence. Her  curiosity & fear are all tangled up. Her persisting gentleness &  the world’s betrayal of it. “

Taylor also revealed about how she became a part of the “Where The  Crawdads Sing” film. She wrote that she was absolutely lost in the book  when she read it a few years back and when she heard about the  opportunity that there is a film adaptation of the book being made.

She wanted to contribute from the musical side. She also revealed that  Aaron Dessner is the producer of the song. Taylor wanted the song to be  “haunting” & “ethereal” to match the story of Crawdads film.

She also wrote about how Aaron & her wanted the song to have an  authentic sound which suits the best for the “moment in time when this  story takes place” she says.

In the post about the “Carolina” song she also mentioned how she wrote this song in the middle of the night all alone.

She posted a little part of the song to announce that the song is out, the song lyrics go like this, ” And there are places I will never, ever go. And things that only Carolina will ever know.”
