Stephen Curry Makes NBA History with 50-Point Performance Against Russell Westbrook and Clippers
Stephen Curry scored 50 points in a losing effort against the Los Angeles Clippers.
He shot an incredible 70% from the field on 20-of-28 shooting.
Curry also made eight three-pointers on 14 attempts from behind the arc.
He dished out six assists in 39 minutes of play.
Despite Curry's historic performance, the Warriors still lost the game to the Clippers 134-126.
OptaSTATS reported that Curry is the first player in NBA history to score 50+ points, make 8+ threes, and shoot 70% from the field and still lose in regulation.
Jordan Poole was the only other Warriors player to score in double digits and shoot better than 50% from the field with 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting.
Klay Thompson struggled in the game, shooting just 6-for-16 for 15 points.
The loss was a disappointing start to the Warriors' five-game road trip, but they are still in the top-six in the Western Conference standings with a 36-34 record.
