Squid Game Season one received so much love from the audience for its unique and compelling concept and it’s no lie that fans will love to see a season two of it as well.

Today Netflix gave the fans a green signal, that the fans will be getting a season 2 of the show.

The first season was released on 17th September 2021, and the show became quite popular among the audience.

On 12th June Netflix posted 2 tweets about the show which confirmed the season. The first tweet was a short video of the famous doll (Younghee) of squid games reflecting 2 in her eyes which confirms the show followed by the caption," Red light…GREENLIGHT! The squid game is officially coming back for season 2.

The second tweet shared a note from the Director, producer & creator of squid games, Hwang Dong-Hyuk which said," It took 12 years to bring the first season of 'Squid Game' to life last year. But it took 12 days for 'Squid Game' to become the most popular Netflix series ever. As the writer, director, and producer of 'Squid Game', a huge shout out to fans around the world. Thank you for watching and loving our show.

Further, the note mentioned who all will be returning for a season 2, "And now Gi-hun returns. The Front Man returns. Season 2 is coming. The man in the suit with Ddakji might be back. You'll also be introduced to Young-hee's boyfriend, Cheol-Su. Join us once more for a whole new round."

Squid games' story revolves around people who are called to play children's games to win some good cash. A guy named Seong-Gi-hun (a driver) gets invited to play the game and he accepts the offer as he was in debt. Later when he reaches an unknown place to play the game, he gets to know there are more indebted people like people who are playing the game.
