Shiba Inu Payments Now Available In 179 Countries

Edge now supports the BitPay Protocol, which means Shiba Inu payments may be available to more customers in 179 countries. Customers can purchase, sell, trade, and spend over 130 digital assets using Edge, a noncustodial wallet. In 179 countries, it supports over 1.7 million accounts in ten languages.

Wallets that have successfully enabled the BitPay Protocol to collect payments from over 200 million crypto users can accept crypto from merchants and companies.

In December 2021, BitPay began officially accepting the Shiba Inu coin, allowing SHIB to be spent at hundreds of BitPay shops that accept Shiba Inu.

Shiba Inu is becoming more popular as a form of payment. Sao Paulo FC, a Brazilian football team, recently announced that it would accept Shiba Inu and cryptocurrencies as payment for tickets using Bitso and Bitpay.

Chipotle, a popular Mexican fast-food establishment, has begun accepting Shiba Inu, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies via the Flexa digital payment platform. This method of payment will be accepted at over 2,975 Chipotle locations in the United States.

Shiba Inu is now accepted by hundreds of eateries in over 65 countries, as Lavu and Verifone announce a new agreement, as originally reported by U.Today.

Lavu, a global restaurant software and payments solution provider, and Verifone, a payments solution provider, announced a cross-distribution alliance in May that will connect Lavu’s restaurant software suite with Verifone’s payment systems, enabling bitcoin payments.

Following a growing interest in Shiba Inu (SHIB), Bitstamp, a Luxembourg-based cryptocurrency exchange, recently announced that the dog-themed digital currency has been added to its platform. The cryptocurrency will be available to the millions of Bitstamp users with the addition of Shiba Inu.
