Shaquille O’Neal is an undisputed NBA legend. With 4 NBA championships, 1 MVP, 3 Finals MVPs, and 2-time scoring champion in 19 years in the NBA, Shaq stands among the absolute greatest players in the history of the NBA.

Other than that, Shaq is a total legend off the court as well. He, in his retirement, has been many things, and in all those things he has enjoyed life to the fullest. That means that we all love watching Shaq enjoy life.

Shaq has been the owner of multiple businesses over the years, which is why he is among the top 20 richest athletes in the world.

However, it is not just money that he likes to give away, but also memories.  But there is one memory that the former Lakers superstar would like to forget.

Shaq was once featured on Shark Week, because why not? And interestingly, Shaq had an incident with a shark.

In fact, he had a near-death experience. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Stephen asked Shaq which was the most dangerous animal.

First Shaq said a snake, then he changed his answer to a shark. “Actually, a shark. I did Shark Week, and I almost died. Some genius who built the cage had an opening this big. I saw it but I didn’t think about it, and when I realized it,

the shark was coming toward the thing and I thought he looks like he’s coming in. And when he came in, I just stayed at the bottom. Then he came down, and I was like aaah! And I bumped him and I got out of the water so fast.”

Stephen asked, “you punched a shark?” Shaq answered, “I sure did, right in his face. A little elbow.”

Shaq is just doing whatever he wants. It’s like he is completing his side quests in life and we are here for it.
