Run Forrest, Run! CLOT Tease Third Nike ‘Clotez’ Colorway

Edison Chen’s CLOT label has been making headlines in the sneaker scene with its latest Nike collaboration.

The ‘Clotez’ sneakers are already available in two colorways: black and white and a Bruce Lee-inspired yellow and black, all with a unique 3-in-1 design inspired by the ancient Yin-Yang philosophy.

The notion of fluidity and change, which is key to CLOT partnerships, is also at the core of the ‘Clotez’ design.

The shoes investigate the notion of tai chi as well as mobility and metamorphosis.’

CLOT appears to be planning the introduction of a vintage Cortez colorway in the famous blue, red, and white pattern.

Edison Chen teased the release with a reference to Forrest Gump; and the legendary Cortez unwrapping scene from the film on his social media platforms.

The Nike Cortez debuted in 1972 as the Aztec; and it was inspired by the lightweight running shoes worn by competitors at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. It rapidly became one of Nike’s best-selling sneakers and has since become a classic.
