Roman Reigns Criticized By Becky Lynch For WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022

Becky Lynch was not on the card of WrestleMania Backlash 2022 that went down this past Sunday at The Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

This was a rare pay-per-view event where no world title matches were held on the show and thus it appeared to be a first-time instance since Elimination Chamber 2020. Alongside the top titles from the men’s division, neither RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair nor WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Naomi and Sasha Banks was booked to defend their titles on the show.

Now, this did bother the WWE Universe as they created quite an uproar on social media. Being a former RAW Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch was also offended by the booking but she took a storyline way to react to it.

She saw the lack of title defenses at WrestleMania Backlash to throw shades at Bianca Belair. She apparently found the champion guilty for not putting her title on the line. Big Time Becks stated the following which appeared to be an indirect shot at Belair.

“When I was champ, my title was defended on every ppv. #WWEBacklash” Since it played out as a storyline angle, Belair knew that Becky Lynch was taking a shot at herself and hence she fired back, quickly.

“Coming from the woman who literally HANDED her title over and lost it the last time she defended it… Girl, GTH Don’t ever come for my work ethic and/or credibility… cause you tried it! And oh yeah, Happy Mother Days.”

Interestingly, Becky Lynch was able to turn the tides and proved why she is unmatched when it comes to taking shots via social media. She mentioned that she was talking about Roman Reigns and not Belair, “I was talking about Roman….”

As noted, Roman Reigns was not booked to defend his titles at WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 as he teamed up with The Usos and defeated Team RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre in a non-title six-man tag team match. As for Becky Lynch, she and Asuka appear to be gunning for the title and thus got involved in a feud that should unfold in the coming weeks.
