PROLETA RE ART and Foxtrot Uniform Craft One-of-One Air Jordan 1 With Boro Cloth

By: Christy R Mathew

PROLETA RE ART, a denim craftsman, has collaborated with Foxtrot Uniform, a vintage sneaker upcycler, to create a creative art work combining the Air Jordan 1 with Boro fabric.

Poggy The Man organised the partnership, which is inspired by Kintsugi, a 15th-century Japanese concept of healing with gold that cherishes defects and imperfections.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High "Chicago" serves as the foundation, with faded blue paisley boro textiles utilized on the collars, tongue, and medial panels, and splashes of red on the toe box.

Natural fading and wear-and-tear are visible on the shoes, and PROLETA RE ART tabs are attached along the inside collars.

The concept focuses on the love and charm of antique sneakers and Boro fabric, since their scuffs, wrinkles, and tears each tell a different narrative and only add to their beauty.

This one-of-a-kind work of art is not for sale, but it exemplifies the beauty of imperfection as well as the art of upcycling.

Stay tuned for more.
