One Piece had humble beginnings, but it has now grown into a thriving franchise that includes computer games, animated films, and a smash hit One Piece cartoon series with over 1000 episodes.

Netflix has been producing a live-action adaptation of the manga since 2017, hoping to cash in on the success of the popular franchise.

The series didn’t get a ten-episode order from Netflix until 2020, and even then, plans to begin production were stopped owing to the onset of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Netflix released a new video on Tuesday confirming the cast for the live-action One Piece series.
