Former world heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time. In fact, ‘Iron’ Mike has truly become the face of the sport, adored by millions of boxing fans around the globe.
But even the biggest Redwood trees tend to lose the love for the very soil that nurtured them. Likewise, Tyson recently opened up about losing interest in the sport of boxing.
Tyson was in an interview with The Talks. In conversation, he was asked if he still loved the sport of boxing. Tyson responded by saying that he is not as involved in the sport anymore.
He said, “I’m pretty disillusioned with it. I’m not into boxing that much anymore.” The interviewer was taken aback by the contradictory response from one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. Moreover, Tyson was further asked why he was not into the sport anymore.
Mike Tyson is truly worthy of the title of ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’. Tyson’s eccentric personality in the ring and off the ring has made him one of the most recognizable faces in the sport.
Tyson turned pro at the age of 18, with a spectacular performance against Hector Mercedes. Moreover, he went on to become one of the most intimidating forces to reckon with. In fact, it was considered a badge of courage to face a prime Tyson inside the ring.
Apparently, there is another series in the making that will tell the story of Tyson’s life. The series stars Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx as Mike Tyson. As per the rumors, it has been titled ‘Tyson’.
The actor has been working on the character for quite a long time now. He even posted a picture of himself looking like Tyson. The post goes back to June 2020, and he wrote in the caption, “The transformation begins… “Finding MIKE”.”
