Mike Tyson is one of the most successful and polarizing athletes in history. He has lived a life of rags to riches, but the audience is unaware of many other details.
As such, streaming giant Hulu is releasing a series based on Mike Tyson’s life. But the boxer is not happy with it, and here’s his take on the subject.
Mike Tyson wrote in an Instagram post, “Hulu’s announcement to do an unauthorized mini-series of the Tyson story without compensation, although unfortunate, isn’t surprising..”
The teaser for the limited eight-episode Hulu series ‘Mike’ has been released recently. It stars ‘Moonlight’ movie fame Trevante Rhodes as Tyson. It also stars actors like Laura Harrier, Harvey Keitel, Russell Hornsby, and Li Eubanks.
Apparently, there is another series in the making that will tell the story of Tyson’s life. The series stars Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx as Mike Tyson. As per the rumors, it has been titled ‘Tyson’.
The actor has been working on the character for quite a long time now. He even posted a picture of himself looking like Tyson. The post goes back to June 2020, and he wrote in the caption, “The transformation begins… “Finding MIKE”.”
