Mike Tyson Describes The Taste Of Evander Holyfield’s Ear Nearly 25 Years After Their Fight

Mike Tyson has already made news headlines for launching edibles called ‘Mike bites’. These edibles are famous because they recall the infamous fight of ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ with another heavyweight legend, Evander Holyfield.

Ahead of the near completion of 25 years of this controversial bout, Tyson has caught the attention of fans by making a bold claim about Holyfield’s ear.

Recently, the 55-year-old sat down with the renowned American radio host, Alex Jones, for an exclusive interview. While discussing several recent events, Tyson picked the packet of ‘Mike Bite’ to eat.

Meanwhile, Alex gave it an interesting turn. He took the packet from Tyson’s hand, saying, “Let me do it, Let me do it. You gonna get this now.” After saying this, Alex acted as if was going to eat the whole packet and then burst out in laughter.

Later, Tyson says taking edibles in hand, “These mushrooms got him. That’s really not the product.” While eating ‘Mike Bites’, Tyson said, “It tastes better than Evander’s.” After taking a long breath, he added, “Evander’s ear tastes like ...”

He used a cuss word to describe the taste of Evander's ear. The highly anticipated fight between the youngest heavyweight champ and Evander Holyfield landed on June 28, 1997. The WBA heavyweight championship was the most spectacular showdown of the 90s.

The duo went toe-to-toe in the initial rounds in the jam-packed arena of MGM Grand Garden Arena. As the fight went into the second round, it became rough. Holyfield had a stature advantage which became trouble for Tyson to deal with.

And in the heat of the moment, ‘Iron’ Mike bit the ear of Holyfield. It wounded the latter enough. However, Holyfield agreed to fight again after a discussion. But Tyson repeated the same. He bit the other ear of Holyfield, and eventually the fight had to be stopped.
