Michael J Fox To Be Honoured At Academy Governor’s Awards With A Humanitarian Award

Actors are the ones who bring the characters to life and we can’t forget  that they are an important and essential part of cinema without their  contribution to the cinema we wouldn’t be able to see things from a  different perspective

One such Actor has been well known throughout the years not just for his  contribution to Cinema but also to the world. The Actor is none other  than Michael J Fox, he is an American Canadian Actor.

His work span in the industry was from the 1970s to -2020. For his iconic performances in cinema and prominent role as an  activist, Michael J Fox will be receiving an honorary Academy Award,  this year.

Some other actors who will be receiving the same are Euzhan Palcy, Diane Warren, and Peter Weir.The award is named as Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

In a statement, the Academy President David said, ” The Academy’s board  of governors is honored to recognize four individuals who have made an  undeniable contribution to cinema and the world at large.”

In 1991 Michael J Fox got diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, at that  time he was 29 years old.Parkinson’s Disease is related to the brain  and affects a person’s movements.

After that, he became an activist, and also he has a foundation named Parkinson Research.For years we have seen him doing various roles in films and television.

He is known for his films like See you yesterday, Stuart Little (1,2  & 3), Doc Hollywood,  Being Canadian, A.R.C.H.I.E, Atlantis: The  Lost Empire, Back to the future & many more.

The Governor’s Award will be held on November 19th.
