Paul appeared on ‘Flagrant’ alongside host Andrew Schulz, and the two discussed a bunch of topics. In one segment, one of the hosts asked Paul whether he would ever take on McGregor’s training partner, Dillon Danis, in a street fight. Paul simply replied, “You know what, maybe.”
Schulz praised Danis’ jiu-jitsu skills and asked Paul if he was worried about his jiu-jitsu background. Paul replied by calling him “one of the best jiu-jitsu guys in the world.” He then took the time to tell a story involving Danis, which fueled the beef between them.
Paul said, “Actually here in New York one time… because you know Dillon (Danis), me, and Jake (Paul) have been all like kind of beefing for some time. We were at a party. This was when Dylan was on crutches, and one of his boys pulled a gun on Mike.”
Paul has a wrestling background and wrestled when he was in college. He was a very talented wrestler and even finished fifth in the OHSAA State Championship in 2013. Therefore, it is no surprise that Paul has expressed his interest in MMA.
Further, he even had the president of UFC, Dana White, on his podcast. In the podcast, Paul told White that he is interested in fighting in the UFC.
Shockingly, White said that he wasn’t against Paul joining the UFC. White is also a fan of Paul’s skills and has praised him several times. Hence, taking all these into account, don’t be too surprised if you see Paul fighting in the promotion one day.
