LeBron James’ “Tacos” Play A Crucial Role In The Russell Westbrook Debacle

LeBron James’ famous ‘Taco Tuesdays’ have induced mixed reactions from fans and critics over the years. But it may play a crucial role for the Lakers in the upcoming seasons, according to popular Hollywood actor O’Shea Jackson Jr.

The Straight Outta Compton (2015) star feels the only thing lacking in the Lakers’ roster is proper chemistry between the players, which can be solved by a few Taco Tuesdays at LeBron’s house. He also believes that the hiring of Rasheed Wallace in the Lakers coaching staff will help Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis get back into the game and play at the highest level.

The famous Taco Tuesdays on LeBron’s house have gone viral on multiple occasions. In fact, LeBron even tried to trademark the term “Taco Tuesday” from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

King James’ Taco Tuesday posts on Instagram have garnered the attention of millions of fans all around the country and beyond. Meanwhile, O’Shea Jackson Jr. believes Taco Tuesdays could play a vital role in the next few seasons for the Lakers.

If we’re running it back with our big three, you know, Bron, you better get them over there for some tacos, bro,” he said in an interview. “We need to have some meetings. We need to have some chemistry. That was something the 2020 Lakers had that I just haven’t felt the last two years,” he added.

Therefore, the star-studded Lakers roster could surely meet over some tacos to build some much-needed chemistry between players. The Lakers’ performance this season has been nothing short of underwhelming. With five potential Hall-of-Famers and three MVP caliber players, they finished 11th in the West with a 33-49 record.

The blame chiefly falls on injuries and Russell Westbrook‘s inability to gel with the team. In fact, Westbrook frequently locked heads with LeBron for the ball. His ball-dominant nature makes it difficult for him to move without the ball. But he needs to be the second option to LeBron for the Lakers to succeed.

With Westbrook’s current shooting form, LeBron needs to be the floor general in the team. Therefore, Rasheed Wallace’s role in making the roster work in tandem becomes important. He also needs to be in Anthony Davis‘ ear to help him get back into rhythm, according to O’Shea Jackson Jr.
