Kevin Durant Says Missing All-Star Game & Not Playing Against LeBron James Are Most Frustrating Part of Being Injured

Recently, Kevin Durant thought back on another year of missed time due to injury.

This is what he said to reporters about it, according to Nets Videos:

"I wasn't feeling sorry for myself, or why me? It's like, s**t, another year not playing against my old teammates, another year, at that point, maybe missing the All-Star Game, not playing against LeBron James at home. Stuff like that I look forward to"

When the Nets travelled to the Bay Area to play the Warriors as the defending champions on Sunday, Durant lost the chance to play in front of Warriors supporters (January 22nd).

He last faced off against his former squad on the road in 2021, back when Covid-19 restrictions prevented spectators from entering the arena.

When the Nets host LA on Monday, January 30th, at home, Kevin Durant will also miss playing LeBron James.

In three finals series over the past ten years, the two former champions have engaged in thrilling combat.

James and Durant haven't faced off against one another since the Lakers vs. Warriors matchup on Christmas Day of last year due to injuries limiting either star.
