The two only confirmed earlier this week that the album will be released in July.

"This is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr," an original by Depp, was released as the album's first single.

According to NME, the pair chose the album title 18 because they wanted to refill their energy with what they had at the time.

“When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. We would joke about how we felt 18 again so that just became the album title too.” Beck also spoke about the single and said that he was “blown away by it.”

He added, “That song is one of the reasons I asked [Johnny] to make an album with me.”

In response to Beck's comments on the song, Depp said, "It's an extraordinary honour to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged to call my brother."

Depp made news in May when he came to Beck's gig in Sheffield, U.K., to play renditions of songs by John Lennon, Marvin Gaye, and Jimi Hendrix.
