Johnny Depp Announces He Is Working on a New Album With Jeff Beck

One day after being awarded $10.4 million in damages in the Amber Heard defamation trial, Johnny Depp showed no signs of slowing down and is already working on his next project.

Depp announced that he would be releasing an album with Jeff Beck in the near future.

Beck made the announcement on stage with Depp on June 2 in Gateshead, England.

“I met this guy five years ago and we’ve never stopped laughing since. We actually made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It will be out in July,” he said of Depp.

Beck and Depp have previously shared the stage in the United Kingdom, making the most recent performance unsurprising.

Throughout Beck's tour, Depp has played guitar with him, covering classic hits such as Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" and Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing."

During Depp's high-profile defamation trial, he received support from other musicians, including Paul McCartney, who performed at one of his concerts with a large photo of Depp projected on the screens behind him.

The official release date has not been announced, but fans can expect new music from Depp this summer.
