John Wick 4 Actor Credits Halle Berry For Him Getting Cast In Sequel
Shamier Anderson attributes his casting in John Wick: Chapter 4 to Halle Berry. Following the success of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the forthcoming action thriller starring Keanu Reeves began production in 2019. Anderson’s involvement in the new picture was disclosed in June; as production began in several nations, including France, Germany, and Japan.
John Wick: Chapter 4 was supposed to be released earlier this year; but delays caused by the COVID-19 epidemic; and Reeves’ commitments to The Matrix Resurrections pushed the release date back. Berry will apparently not appear in John Wick 4, despite her role as former assassin Sofia Al-Azwar in the previous film.
Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick will all return. More information about the forthcoming instalment has been kept under wraps, including the involvement of numerous newcomers, including Anderson. Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Clancy Brown are also set to join the franchise as unnamed roles.
Anderson stated to THR during the premiere of Bruised that Berry was responsible for his John Wick casting. Anderson was clearly ecstatic about the chance, and he revealed that filming wrapped last week. The following is the actor’s entire statement:
I got the job, and I finished filming a week ago. I’m in John Wick with Keanu Reeves! Shout-out to Halle Berry for giving me the opportunity that led to that.”
On the set of Bruised, Berry made her directorial debut. The boxing drama premiered in theatres on November 17 before being uploaded on Netflix just a few days ago. Jackie, a disgraced MMA fighter who returns to the ring after her son re-enters her life, is played by the 55-year-old actress.
Berry’s picture drew the attention of Chad Stahlenski, who worked as an executive producer; by casting Anderson in the role of an MMA boss named Immaculate.
