Internet Sides With Nick Cannon’s Decision To Not Cure Son’s Cancer

By christy mathew

Zen, Nick Cannon’s 5-month-old son, died of a brain tumour almost 10 days ago. The child had previously suffered from hydrocephalus; which causes fluid buildup in the brain cavities, resulting in an increase in the size of the ventricles; according to a video from Cannon’s afternoon show ‘What’s Poppin’. As a result, the brain is put under stress.

According to Cannon, the tumour grew rapidly around Thanksgiving, and he died on December 5. Cannon claimed in a recent interview with PEOPLE that he chose not to utilise chemotherapy to treat his kid because he didn’t want his child to “suffer.”

Zen was born on June 23, 2021, to Cannon and ‘Wild ‘N Out’ model Alyssa Scott; Cannon’s fourth kid in six months. The youngest son of ‘The Masked Singer’ star Nick Cannon was born just weeks after Cannon had twin boys Zion and Zillion with DJ Abby De La Rosa.

Zen had surgery to have a shunt put in so that the fluid could be emptied.

After the procedure, Cannon said their baby’s life became more difficult. Cannon stated in the new interview that he did not want to use chemotherapy to treat Zen; and that his decision was based on personal experience.

The host had previously battled lupus and had to endure severe chemotherapy. “I know that pain. To see that happen to a 2-month-old I didn’t want that. I didn’t want him to suffer,” Cannon stated.

Cannon, who was delivering the heartbreaking news to his followers for the first time, stated, “Over the weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus that was pretty much a malignant, invasive mid-line brain tumour – brain cancer. It’s tough.”
