Hailee Steinfeld Shares Hawkeye BTS Image Of Florence Pugh

By Christy Mathew

Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Florence Pugh in Hawkeye, shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the actress on social media to promote the show’s current episode. The fifth episode of the Disney+ series was just released on the streaming site; bringing the total number of episodes to six. It included action, Marvel Easter eggs; and a lot of important revelations that will very certainly play a major role in next week’s finale.

Hawkeye follows Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) as they work together to bust a crime ring in New York City during the holiday season. During last week’s episode, however, they were attacked by a Black Widow assassin; who turned out to be none other than Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova.

The character first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in Black Widow earlier this year. Yelena now believes Clint Barton is to blame for the death of her older sister, Natasha Romanoff; as a result of the events of the film (Scarlett Johansson).

During the events of Avengers: Endgame, Natasha sacrificed herself to retrieve the Soul Stone; leaving many viewers wondering if Yelena may accidentally murder Clint before the reality of Nat’s death can be revealed.

Following their fight in Hawkeye episode 4 last week, audiences have watched Yelena and Kate take the next step in their relationship in the next episode of Hawkeye; which is currently available to watch on Disney+. Despite the fact that the two have a tense relationship at the moment, it appears that Steinfeld and Pugh had a good time on the set of the show. In fact, Steinfeld used a behind-the-scenes photo of Pugh eating some of her hot sauce-laced macaroni and cheese to promote the episode on Instagram.

Clearly, this photo was taken after Yelena had applied hot sauce to her food on a previous take. Kate goes to her burned-out apartment to find the assassin Black Widow waiting for her. Rather than fighting again, the two chat, and Yelena admits that she is in New York to assassinate Clint Barton.

The talk in the flat between Kate and Yelena showed a lot about both individuals. Many in the audience wondered whether Clint would live to witness the end of Hawkeye. Clint’s sorrow over Natasha’s death and his time as Ronin is evident, therefore it’s not illogical to think he’ll die at the conclusion of the next episode.
