Gaming Giant Konami’s Castlevania To Release NFTs For 35th Anniversary

Castlevania – a dark medieval fantasy series – is among the biggest  series of Konami Holdings Corporation. And as is the case with many  big-name series in this industry, Castlevania has been on hiatus for  some time now.

But replacing any hopes of getting a new season at its 35th anniversary,  the gaming firm Konami announced that it will be releasing NFTs to  celebrate the ocassion instead.

Konami, a Japanese entertainment conglomerate and video game company, is  officially joining in the NFT craze as they prepare to launch their own  NFT collection to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the firm’s iconic  franchise Castlevania.

Auctioning these tokens, the “KONAMI MEMORIAL NFTs” would allegedly feature game scenes, background music, and newly drawn art.

The entire collection is set to go live on Jan. 12 at 5 p.m. EST, where  players will have the opportunity to pick any one of the 14 unique  artworks that will collectively be available on the Opensea platform.

Konami is a massive gaming company which has developed many a gaming  softwares, and it is also the famed owner of multiple major franchises  like Castlevania, Contra, Frogger, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Parodius,  Gradius, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Suikoden.

From highlight videos to clips from different Castlevania games (like  the original and Simon’s Quest), Konami is planning to feature a wide  variety of variegated tokens for this event.

PCGamer also reported that curiously enough – for those concerned – the word  ‘sample’ is marked for all the images supplied of said NFTs, just in  case anyone has the naughty idea of, y’know, right-clicking and saving  them.
