It takes a mountain’s worth of effort to undo the strains caused by one’s mistake. YouTuber turned boxer Logan Paul would testify for the same.
His distasteful vlog in Japan strained his relationship with his idol, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Further, Paul recently opened up about not replying to Johnson’s DMs after the incident.
Paul was a guest at the ‘True Geordie‘ podcast. During the conversation, the host Brian ‘Geordie’ Davis mentioned how the Aokigahara forest incident affected Paul’s relationship with Johnson.
Paul responded by saying that he understood why Johnson was displeased with him. He said, I totally got where he was coming from.
Moreover, he also mentioned that, after the incident, he was unsuccessful in strengthening his relationship with Johnson. Paul said, “I just, I don’t know, I just wanted to be able to build a relationship with Dwayne that didn’t end up happening.”
After hearing Paul’s response, Geordie asked him if he tried to contact Johnson. He responded, saying, “I did not reach out. He did, maybe like 5 months ago. Nah, 3 months ago. Like nothing ever happened.”
In fact, Paul had posted a story of a monkey stealing his bottle of Prime. Johnson found the video funny and responded to the same on Instagram. Meanwhile, Geordie asked him if he responded to Johnson’s message, to which Paul nods in the negative.
However, Paul was quick to add that while Johnson does not owe him anything, his previous demeanor deeply hurt him.
