CBS is launching something new where they are coming out with a reality competition, The Activist. There will be six activists who will join three public figures to make changes to environmental issues, healthcare and education.

These teams will have a chance to go to Rome for the G20 Summit & they will get the biggest funding commitment from diplomats and will be crowned the winner.

This show will be hosted by Usher, Priyanka Chopra and Julianne Hough. But as the reports of the show surfaced online, both the network and the stars faced backlash from social media users.

People believe that this show's concept is a joke and the production giants are trying to mock people who are doing good work in the field of activism. Even celebrities like Jameela Jamil criticized the network.

She questioned why can't they just donate the money needed to pay for this expensive talent and make the show directly to activist causes.

Jameela added, "Instead of turning activism into a game and then giving away a fraction of the much-needed money in a ‘prize…?’ People are dying,”

Gina Martin  also questioned why is this being rated and why is there a TV show that turns activists into a competition. Another user pointed out that this is horrific and called it "gross".
