Black Panther 2 Set Photos Revealed Martin Freeman In New Look
By Christy Mathew
A behind-the-scenes photo from the sets of Black Panther has revealed the return of Martin Freeman's Everett Ross. You might be familiar with Martin for his role in the UK version of The Office.
Martin had made his MCU debut in 2016's Captain America: Civil War as Everett Ross. The character was first written as a US state department employee whose life was completely changed after joining T'Challa.
But the character's version in the MCU is portrayed as a former US Air Force pilot turned CIA agent. He meets T'Challa in Civil War and then again during a South Korean black market sting operation where he is injured and brought to Wakanda.
The filming of Black Panther 2 has already begun as MCU fans get their first glimpse of Martin's return. He was sporting a beard and a sharp grey suit.
Even Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan had sported a "blip beard" during 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. Martin's look can be because of similar reasons, which means he too may have survived Thanos' snap.
One of the other questions the photos bring is their adjacent timing to the set photos of Dominque Thorne's Riri Williams. This raises the question if Everett Ross might be the one sent to enlist her talents. Dominque's character is assumed to take up the mantel of Ironheart.
