Benedict Cumberbatch As A Cowboy In The Power Of The Dog Trailer

The Power of the Dog, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as a masochistic cattle rancher named Phil Burbank, has received an official trailer from Netflix.

Jane Campion’s return to feature films after a 12-year hiatus is marked by the adaptation of Thomas Savage’s 1967 novel of the same name, and the results appear to be promising.

Cumberbatch’s cattle rancher inspires fear and awe in the fresh new trailer as he seeks to humiliate and bully Kirsten Dunst’s kid Kodi Smit-McPhee.

When his brother George (Jesse Plemons) marries Dunst, Cumberbatch’s Phil gradually realizes that he may have feelings for George’s stepson.

In the trailer, though, Cumberbatch mocks Smit-McPhee for his beautifully created paper flowers.

He says, “What tiny lady made these?” to which Smit-McPhee responds, “I did, sir.”

Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Jesse Plemons, and Thomasin McKenzie star in the film, which also stars Keith Carradine and France Conroy.
