After a "disgraceful" announcement, Canelo Alvarez is criticised by the fans

One of the greatest boxers of all time, pound-for-pound, is Canelo Alvarez, the undisputed Super Middleweight champion.

He will face John Ryder in May 2023 to defend his WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring Super Middleweight belts, according to a recent announcement.

Alvarez will also be playing in his native city of Guadalajara, Mexico, making this a special occasion for him.

On May 6, 2023, Alvarez and Ryder will square off in the Estadio Akron in Guadalajara.

According to the reports, Alvarez answered, "Returning to the ring," when asked about competing in his hometown.

I'm extremely pleased to be returning to Jalisco, where I was born, to fight.

Alvarez also disclosed that he had a conversation with Enrique Alfaro, the governor of Jalisco, regarding tickets for those who could not buy them.

Alvarez also made it a point to use Instagram to reveal who would be refereeing the fight.
