According to Mick Foley, CM Punk was upset over the Undertaker match at WWE WrestleMania 29

CM Punk left the WWE in 2014 for a variety of reasons, but one thing that at least disturbed Punk about his time there was that he never got the chance to be the main event at WrestleMania.

The closest he came was having a 434-day reign as WWE Champion going into WrestleMania 29.

The Rock vs. John Cena II was chosen as the main event, therefore Punk was forced to settle for a bout against The Undertaker to end his WrestleMania streak in the undercard.

Foley discussed Punk's difficulties in this situation, facing The Undertaker, and his unhappiness at not receiving main event respect.

"Phil, you choose the major event," he said.

The decision is made by the audience. Since we were in no way, shape, or form promoted as the main event at WrestleMania 22 in 2006

Yet, according to Foley, if Punk had seen his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania from a different angle, he might still be competing on television right now.

In Foley's opinion, if he could enjoy being the featured act on the WWE's secondary pay-per-views.
