The Worldwide Box Office For Eternals Has Surpassed $300 Million
The global box office for Marvel’s Eternals has surpassed $300 million. Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Angelina Jolie, Don Lee, and even Harry Styles make cameo appearances in the latest entry of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It was directed by Chloé Zhao, who earned an Academy Award for Best Director for her film Nomadland, which also won Best Picture at the 93rd Academy Awards.
The plot follows a group of Earth’s defenders known as Eternals, an alien species of creatures who arrived on the planet over 7,000 years ago to protect it from Deviants and a new threat known as the Emergence.
. The film has gotten mixed reviews from reviewers since its November 5 release, and it has the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score of any MCU film.
The film’s pacing, runtime, and use of characters have all been criticized, but its themes and visuals have been praised.
Despite the film’s lukewarm reviews, Box Office Pro reports that it has already crossed $300 million at the global box office.
It has grossed $123.6 million in the United States and is anticipated to continue to rise.
