Bobby Deol recently revealed that he has never given any value to the awards in his life.
According to him, he grew up seeing his father, who is a revered and famous actor but has never received the most prestigious actor award (Best Actor) in his entire life.
Bobby Deol’s Upbringing
Speaking to the news website, Bobby reportedly said his father Dharmendra, a former genius, had not won a single award for best actor all his life and grew up seeing that. The actor also adds that he doesn’t think he needs it.
According to Bobby, Dharmendra found human love and that was his prize. He added that awards become special as fans get happy. It is like gifting them something when you receive one, for their love and appreciation.
He recently won the Best Actor award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival for his performance in ‘Aashram’. Speaking the same, he said his response was a way of gratitude. He added that he only wanted to understand his power, and to use it to the best of his ability.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Bobby will next be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. The movie will star Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. It also features Parineeti Chopra in a key role.
Dharamji Was No Less, says Hema Malini
Veteran actor Hema Malini will perform at the Indian Idol 12 over the weekend. The first view of the episode was shared by the creators, in which the actress of ‘Sholay’ shared many interesting stories from her long sixty-year career, as well as her love story with actor Dharmendra.
Speaking about her love affair with Dharmendra, she revealed that while they were recording a song together, Hema Malini’s father unexpectedly accompanied her to shoot, to make sure that she would not spend time with Dharmendra alone.
“Usually my mother or my aunt used to accompany me on shoots but during the shoot of one of the songs my father accompanied me as he was worried that me and Dharam ji shouldn’t spend some time alone as he knew we were friends. I remember this when we used to travel in a car my father used to immediately sit next to me but even Dharam ji was no less he used to sit in the next seat,” she said.
Hema Malini On Indian Idol
Apart from this, the veteran actor has also been seen dancing to her old number. After the performance on ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘Tere Chehre Mein Jaadu Hai’, contestant Danish Khan requested Hema Malini to dance with him.
She said: “Danish, your performance is so amazing that it has surely attracted me towards the stage to perform with you.”
Later the performance of the song Dream Girl was praised by everyone present on the sets.
Danish said: “It was an exciting moment for me to play with Hema Ma’am. This is an unforgettable time in my life and I would like to thank the Indian Idol Platform for giving me so many opportunities to explore myself. ”
