Varun Dhawan And Director Rohit Shetty Awarded For Helping In The Fight Against COVID

Actor Varun Dhawan who recently returned to Mumbai after his great marriage to LONG TIME girlfriend Natasha Dalal was honored for his efforts during the Covid outbreak.

The young actor was facilitated for his efforts and contribution in helping people during the pandemic.

At the awards ceremony, Varun Dhawan looked handsome wearing a traditional black dress. He looked very smart wearing a black kurta and a dhoti jacket to compliment this dress.

Politician Urmila Matondkar presented the award to Varun Dhawan. Sharing a photo of her presenting the award to the October actor, Urmila wrote on Twitter:

“Always a pleasure meeting you Urmila ma’am and thank you for the beautiful song,” Varun wrote, quote tweeting Urmila’s post.Varun donated Rs 30 lakh to PM-CARES and Rs 25 lakh to Maharashtra CM relief fund and also distributed free meals to the workers as well as healthcare staff leading the fight against the coronavirus. He had also reached out in support of the dancer’s community in Bollywood.

Rohit Shetty’s Contribution

Director Rohit Shetty was also honored for his contribution. The filmmaker has donated Rs 51 lakh to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to provide financial assistance to the daily paid employees in the Hindi film industry. He also provided food and accommodation in eight hotels in the city to Mumbai police personnel.

The awards ceremony presented by Sakal Media was hosted in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, NCP Chief official Sharad Pawar, State Home Affairs Minister Anil Deshmukh, Health Minister Rajesh Tope and others.
