UFC Sues Francis Ngannou’s Team For Discussing A Potential Boxing Match With Jake Paul

Jake Paul is currently the most reputed influencer boxer on the planet. He stands 5-0 as a professional boxer and is eyeing to extend his winning streak with the next opponent that he locks horns with.

The YouTuber-turned Professional boxer was named the Breakout Boxing Star of 2021 and has also teased plans of getting into MMA.

He has been ecstatic after having a fantastic year in 2021. He not only defeated Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley in their first fights, but he also defeated the latter in a rematch, making his professional boxing record 5 – 0. There has been much speculation as to who he will face next. He’s been connected to matches with the likes of Mike Tyson, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, and even UFC great Jorge Masvidal. But now, we are hearing a new story from UFC fighter Francis Ngannou.

What Did Francis Ngannou Say?

Francis Ngannou recently succeeded in defending his heavyweight title against Cyril Gane and extended his contract with the UFC. However, the UFC fighter’s team also wanted to increase his pay bag and got involved in negotiations about a boxing fight with Jake Paul’s manager.

In a recent interview, Francis has revealed that the UFC has threatened to sue his team for talking to Jake Paul’s team.

“Going into the arena, I dressed up my suit, I walked to the room, and I was waiting for my manager and my coach,” said Ngannou. He could tell that something terrible had happened and asked them what was going on.

“They told me that they just received an email from the UFC that said they were going to sue him for talking with Nakisa Bidarian,” he added. Bidarian is Jake Paul’s manager and has been alongside him throughout his boxing career.

Jake Paul’s Next Opponent

“It doesn’t look like they want to talk to me anymore”, he added.

At the same time, former boxing world champion Julio Cesar Chaver Jr has been predicted to battle the social media frenzy, who has even been called out by current cruiserweight champion Mairis Briedis in an unusual manner.

Despite this, Jake has been linked to a move away from boxing and towards Mixed Martial Arts, with Bellator offering an open invitation. The 24-year-old has also received an offer from Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle Fight Club, which he appears willing to accept.
