Tusshar Kapoor, the son of Veteran bollywood legend Jeetendra made his Bollywood debut with Satish’s ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’ 20 years ago in the year 2001 starring opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The actor is best known for films such as Khakee, Kya Kool Hain Hum franchise, Shootout At Lokhandwala, Shor In The City, The Dirty Picture, Shootout At Created, and above all, the Golmaal series.
‘Not So Good Experiences Taught Me A Lot’
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, the actor takes a nostalgic route to the past and voices his opinions on the choices of films he had chosen to work in. Talking about his journey as an actor in the Hindi film industry, initial success, subsequent failures, and the popularity of the Golmaal franchise was a part of the interview.
He said, “It started with Khakhee (2004), Shootout in Lokhandwala (2007), and also did Shor In The City with The Dirty Picture both in 2011.”
He added, “But because of Golmaal, it becomes like a brand for you. I don’t have a problem with it, I am happy.” When asked about the regrets in his career, he said, “I don’t regret, but yes, of course, there are some films I did in the beginning of my career which I feel I could have avoided. But I did it, and I should be happy, because even the not so good experiences have taught me a lot.”
He continued, “You learn that this is not something (you want to do), not the people you want to work with, and it’s not the setup you’d like to do again.”
Thoughts On COVID
Tusshar Kapoor also presented his genuine opinion on the ravaging coronavirus pandemic and how it has impacted things in the Hindi film industry.
He said, “Now, with COVID-19, we have the option to release films for audience there. I am grateful it’s getting bigger, and there is so much growth within the industry. Different kind of movies are being made, and genres are being explored.”
Tusshar’s upcoming project is a murder mystery “Maarich”. The film’s cast includes well-known and revered names like Naseeruddin Shah, Anita Hassanandani and and is also produced by Tusshar Kapoor.
The Movie Maarich will also feature Telgu Film industry’s famous actress Seerat Kapoor. “The film is expected to release in early 2021. The announcement will be made sooner,” Seerat informed, who had earlier appeared in the 2014 Bollywood release, “Zid” before going on to do multiple Telugu films
