As previously stated, Travis Scott will not be appearing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2022. Variety has confirmed that the rapper has been removed from the roster for the upcoming festival.
Following the recent Astroworld disaster during his Houston event in November, where ten people reportedly died due to a crowd surge, Scott was kicked out of the festival.

Following the incident, a Change.org petition seeking his removal from Coachella’s roster was created, according to reports. A total of 60,000 signatures were collected on the petition. Scott also received a lot of anger online during his Astroworld event, as fans criticized him for not halting the show when an emergency car was spotted in the crowd.
Travis was named as a Coachella headliner over two years ago, alongside Frank Ocean and Rage Against the Machine, in January of 2020. Despite the fact that the festival was halted due to the epidemic, it was just confirmed that it will resume next year. Coachella 2022 will take hold in the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California on the weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24.
Scott, for one, addressed the Atroworld tragedy on social media and expressed his sorrow, but he also recently appeared in his first-ever interview following the disaster and said, “I went through something, and I believe that fans and people’s parents went through something as well. And it hurts a lot.”

However, Travis is facing around 120 lawsuits of more than $3 billion due to the Astroworld incident. Live Nation, ScoreMore, and Cactus Jack Records have also been named in the suits. The day after the incident, Travis posted a statement and a video on social media that revealed his shock and ‘devastation’ over the tragedy.
