Paul Levesque claimed last year that there was never a conflict on Wednesday nights between “WWE NXT” and “AEW Dynamite.” Tony Khan, the president of AEW, appears to disagree with WWE’s chief content officer because he sees a general conflict between the two businesses.
Khan spoke about the reports of suspected contract interference by WWE in an interview with “The Dan Le Batard Show,” which purportedly led to AEW’s legal division sending Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan a warning email. The AEW manager acknowledged that some AEW performers had told him that they had gotten in touch with the rival campaign.
Even said, he added that the wrestling industry is filthy and fiercely competitive, especially when companies are in direct competition. “I just have knowledge of what people have alleged to me. However, I am aware that there is a real conflict between AEW and WWE, and that the fans are interested in it. In fact, this was part of the original business plan for AEW because I knew that fans of professional wrestling were, quite frankly, very interested in free agency and wars.

I also believed that we could develop a free agent market that is now unquestionably real and would play a significant role in the plot.”Khan continued by stating that although fans of wrestling adore tales and rivalries, none are as genuine as the present conflict between WWE and AEW. We genuinely despise one another, and I think that makes for incredibly entertaining television and a thrilling wrestling match.
