Tom Holland Manifested Spider-Man Role 6 Years Ago, says Robert Pattinson

Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in No Way Home, is also said to have manifested as the Marvel superhero six years ago, according to Robert Pattinson.

At the time, Holland and Pattinson were working on the film The Lost City of Z, which is based on the storyline of British explorer Major Percival Fawcett, who went missing in the 1920s while searching for a mysterious Amazon city.

James Gray directed the picture, which received mixed reviews when it was released in 2016.

Of course, both actors’ careers have taken off since the release of The Lost City of Z. Holland is now best known in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as everyone’s favorite web-slinging superhero, Spider-Man. Pattinson has lately entered the superhero world as well, and his upcoming role as the Caped Crusader in The Batman will make him the next in a long line of Hollywood stars to play the Caped Crusader on the big screen. In the Netflix original The Devil All the Time, both actors met for the first time.

Pattinson believes Holland manifested the role of Spider-Man while on the set of The Lost City of Z, according to a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Pattinson believes Holland manifested the role of Spider-Man while on the set of The Lost City of Z, according to a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Holland “was wearing a Spider-Man outfit” while the two actors were on set, according to Pattinson.

He could only come up with one explanation for this: “He actually manifested that part!” Naturally, Kimmel was confused and inquired as to whether Holland was dressed as Spider-Man in a shirt or a full costume. “It was like a proper costume,” Pattinson says in response.

Here’s the rest of the quote:

I actually worked with Tom Holland when I did this movie called The Lost City of Z, years ago. And he was… I think he hadn’t even been cast as Spider-Man, and he was wearing a Spider-Man outfit when I was shooting that movie… He really manifested that part! Like, I mean, he was wearing a Spider-Man– I swear to God, like we were in Colombia, and I’m almost, 99% certain he wasn’t cast yet! […] It was like, it looked like a proper costume. And we were, like, in the middle of nowhere in Colombia, and with no one around, there’s no one – no one witnessed this except for me.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Holland has been discovered to have created his own fate. When Holland was younger, he was asked what superhero he wanted to play at an event, and he said Spider-Man.

Zendaya was his first celebrity crush, he admitted in an interview, and the two starred together in the MCU’s Spider-Man films before becoming romantically involved. Finally, Holland previously stated that Uncharted was his favorite movie game, and he can now be seen in the film version as Nathan Drake, the film’s hero.
