This Weekend, An AEW Star Returns To Impact

Frankie Kazarian of AEW will make his Impact Wrestling debut this weekend. The Citrus Brawl TV tapings will take place this Friday and Saturday from the Osceola Heritage Park Events Center in Kissimmee, Florida. These tapings will air as potential Impact episodes on AXS TV, as well as the the last or final shows prior to actually Slammiversary on Sunday, June 19.

The following matches have been announced for the tapings by Impact:

  • On Friday, Frankie Kazarian will face Chris Sabin.
  • On Friday, Moose and Steve Maclin will face W. Morrissey and PCO.
  • On Saturday, Impact World Champion Josh Alexander and Impact World Tag Team Champions The Briscoes will face Violent By Design.

Kazarian made his Impact debut in July 2021, joining Eddie Edwards as well as Sami Callihan for one big six-man fight on the August 5, 2021 show. In the main event that night, they defeated Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers.

Kazarian will compete for the AEW TNT Title

Kazarian and Sabin had also worked together and competed against each other in various promotions over the years, including X Division Title matches in TNA when Kazarian was champion in 2011. This will be their 1st singles match since Kazarian won the ROH Reloaded Tour on September 16, 2016 in Pittsburgh.

Kazarian will compete for the AEW TNT Title against Scorpio Sky this Friday on AEW Rampage. Kazarian was defeated by Lance Archer on the January 19 Dynamite show, but has since won several Dark and Elevation matches, mainly singles matches. He last appeared on Dark in mid-April, when he teamed with Top Flight and The Hardys to defeat Private Party, Max Caster, Angelico, and The Blade in a ten-man match.

Citrus Brawl TV taping tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster. You can still buy single tickets for every night, as well as the pairing ticket for the both nights, as of this composing. General Admission bleacher tickets are $35, and Titanium Reserved Seating on the floor is $150. Single tickets vary from $25 to $40 for each night.
