On Saturday, Will Smith announced the title and cover of his upcoming autobiography. WILL, an inspiring memoir, will be released on November 9 by Penguin Press. The Oscar winner used his Instagram account and his website to announce the publication of his book.
Will Smith said in an Instagram video about the joyful news, “It’s been a labour of love.” “I’ve been working on it for the past two years and it is finally ready,” he said in the video.
Will will explore his personal trajectory in WILL, according to People magazine, from his childhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to his iconic roles in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and an array of hit films like Ali (2001) and Hitch (2005).
According to the press release announcing the book agreement in October 2018, the book is a “inspirational account of how [Will Smith’s] true self-knowledge served to propel him to amazing success, and then grow further to a place of deeper harmony – with himself, his loved ones, and the world.”
Will also released the cover for the upcoming album, which was designed by Brandan “BMike” Odums, a New Orleans-based visual artist. A number of portraits of the actor are drawn on top of each other on the cover.
According to a press release, “the goal is to graphically describe a person’s progress from childhood to adulthood, and at important times of their life in between.”
