The Sandbox (SAND) Price Rises By 12% After Elvis Presley Collab Announcement

After an announcement of an upcoming partnership between Elvis Presley Enterprises and web3 studio Run it Wild, users in Sandbox’s Metaverse will be able to transform into Elvis characters and celebrate the icon in the virtual realm, the Sandbox (SAND) price is up over 12% today and up over 20% this week.

Elvis fans will gain access to the Elvis Metaverse, various play-to-earn games, Elvis avatars, and special wearables as a result of the agreement.

To celebrate Elvis Presley’s birthday, 1,935 Elvis Genesis Key NFTs will be minted as the all-access pass to the Elvis-On-Chain Metaverse, which will launch on June 1.

Elvis In The Metaworld

The Sandbox is working with Voxel Architects to create Elvis avatars. They will be used in the new Elvis universe, which will serve as a gathering place for Elvis lovers all around the world. In the new environment, users can take on the role of ‘The King” in a variety of ways, interacting with others and trading digital relics.

Talking about the project, Run It Wild Director Adam De Cata said:

“These incredible partners, all leaders in the craft, help us build a one-of-a-kind meeting place for Elvis fans. The Elvis metaverse will host an array of ground-breaking experiences, generative collections, a showcase of rare concerts, fan experiences, and real events,”

Sébastien Borget, COO and co-founder of The Sandbox, added, “We want to empower his fans to express themselves and become their very own Elvis, creating an exciting way to experience his likeness across generations and keep him forever in the limelight thanks to technology.”

SAND Up By 10%

The Metaverse project’s native token jumped about 20% in the first 12 hours after the announcement, but then retraced slightly. SAND reached an intraday high of $1.52 before recovering slightly to $1.40.

Over the last week, the Metaverse coin has increased by 23%, going in the opposite direction of most crypto assets. Last week, it added to its momentum by acquiring Uruguayan IT business Cualit. According to CoinGecko, SAND is presently selling for 83 percent less than its all-time high of $8.48 set in November.

On Thursday, Warner Music Group announced it was building a virtual concert theme park in the metaverse platform The Sandbox to host performances for its roster of musicians.

You can purchase SAND on Binance, Bithumb, Huobi Global, KuCoin, FTX, Gate.io, Kraken, Uniswap, etc.
