The Rotten Tomatoes Audience Scores For Spider-Man Broke The MCU’s Record

The arrival of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a huge success, and he now has the highest average Rotten Tomatoes audience score.

Considering Spider-Man is the only MCU character with a solo film whose rights aren’t held by Marvel Studios, it’s a big deal that he’s at the top.

Spider-Man Broke The MCU’s Record

After a few rocky outings under Sony with two separate versions of Spider-Man, the character was relaunched in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), where it has received praise from critics and audiences alike. Spider-Man: Far From Home was the first Spider-Man film to gross $1 billion, and now Spider-Man: No Way Home is the second highest-grossing film of all time, trailing only Avengers: Endgame in terms of box office revenue. No Way Home also has the highest Rotten Tomatoes score of any live-action Spider-Man movie.

Spider-Man: No Way Home currently has the highest Rotten Tomatoes audience score in the MCU, with a 98 percent audience score (99 percent with verified ticket purchasers, but figures are based on all audiences for parity), followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home with a 93 percent audience score, and Spider-Man: Homecoming with an 84 percent audience score (still in the top half of the MCU).

The MCU has an average Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 83 percent, and every movie has a 70 percent or above audience score, apart from Captain Marvel, which has a 45 percent audience score. Aside from that, viewers have given every MCU film a score of 70 percent or higher, with just ten films receiving a score of 90 percent or higher, putting the Spider-Man films at the top of an already illustrious franchise.
