The Rock Told Logan Paul To Delete All Their Content Together After Japan Suicide Controversy

Logan Paul revealed that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson instructed him to erase all of their content together after Paul’s Japan suicide forest controversy.

When Paul was primarily a YouTuber in 2017, he shot a video in Japan’s Aokigahara forest, which is also known as the “suicide forest” since hundreds of people commit suicide there every year.

He and his pals were exploring the region when they came across a deceased man who had apparently committed suicide, and instead of being shocked, they made jokes about it.

Logan lost commercial prospects as a result of the video, and his YouTube account was temporarily deactivated.

Shortly after, the vlogger apologised and promised to do better, supposedly learning from his catastrophic error – but the repercussions are still felt today, especially after being dismissed by The Rock.

Logan Paul Talks About The Rock

Paul discussed his bond with the movie star back when he was still making Vines in a recent interview with fellow YouTuber True Geordie.

They collaborated on a few sketches that went ‘crazy viral,’ and Paul claimed he was ‘afraid to see him’ because he didn’t live up to the image he had of him in his head.

In truth, he called Johnson “amazing” and stated he “gave me the time of day.” As a result, the events that followed the Japan incident were one of the “saddest moments” of his life.

Speaking hesitantly to Geordie, Paul said: “After Japan happened, obviously found myself in a hole – rightfully so – that I had never been in before.

“[I was] extremely low mentally, and I got a call from my publicist who also repped Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and she’s like, ‘Hey Dwayne’s asked that you remove every picture and video that you’ve done with him and maybe in the future the relationship can be reconciled but for now he basically wants nothing to do with you,’ which I also understood”

“I get it. You know, I made a grotesque error and he has had things happen in his life where like a lot of people that incident affected him in a personal way.”

“So I understood it and that was the other part… you sleep in the bed you make, right?”

“But I just wish I’d gotten like a call or a text or something because I thought we had a healthy relationship, an open line of communication. And I was so sad that my hero wanted nothing to do with me. And I was sad because I understood it, I really f****d up.”

He continued: “I was so disappointed in myself, and so I vowed to get better, I vowed to change, time passed, I start doing well… I just wanted to be able to build a relationship with Dwayne that didn’t end up happening.”

Logan went on to say that he’d had an Instagram DM from The Rock a few months back over a funny video he’d uploaded, as if ‘nothing ever happened.’

When Geordie asked if he’d responded, he said ‘no,’ adding that he’s still’stuck on what happened back then.’
