Today, the music video for BTS’ ‘DOPE’ has surpassed 700 million views on YouTube! The music video, which was released in June 2015, took 6 years, 7 months, and 16 days to reach this milestone. Following ‘DNA,’ ‘Boy With Luv,’ ‘Fake Love,’ ‘IDOL, ‘MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix),’ Dynamite, ‘Blood Sweat & Tears,’ and ‘FIRE,’ ‘DOPE’ becomes BTS’ ninth music video to reach the 700 million mark.

Previously, BTS‘ ‘DOPE’ had become the group’s third music video to surpass the 350 million views mark on YouTube, making them the only Korean group to do so at the time.

Meanwhile, BTS’ V’s OST ‘Sweet Night’ for the drama ‘Itaewon Class,’ which was published in March 2020, has become the first Korean original soundtrack to reach 200 million Spotify streams. The song now holds the record for being the most-streamed Korean OST on Spotify!

‘Sweet Night,’ the first and only Korean OST to exceed 200 million Spotify streams, is also the first and only song to reach number one on iTunes in 118 countries. BTS’ V has now joined PSY as the first Korean male solo artist to exceed 200 million Spotify streams.

‘Sweet Night’ also took up the title for Best OST in 2021 from the Korea Entertainment Management Association’s APAN Music Awards. ‘Sweet Night,’ which was self-produced and written by the BTS member, is still making history nearly two years later.
