The Little Mermaid Trailer Proves Halle Bailey Was Perfect For The Role

The very first trailer of the upcoming live-action Disney movie, The Little Mermaid’s remake has been released. Halle Bailey plays the main lead as the trailer was released at Disney’s biannual D23 Expo.

The trailer included Halle singing the movie’s very famous song, Part of Your World. This footage looks good even though the CGI is something to be worked upon. Halle’s vocals are out of this world and even non-fans will gape at her talent.

The live-action movie includes Halle Berry as Ariel, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder and Awkwafina as Scuttle.

After the trailer reveals, Disney brought out Halle on stage and the entire moment became auspicious. Halle talked about the movie and expressed her gratitude to the creators. She expressed that she is honored to be a part of this project as she claimed everybody would relate to the character in one way or another.

Since it’s a remake of everybody’s childhood movie, fans online were left feeling emotional. Many of them expressed how Halle is the perfect Ariel and appreciated her version of Part of Your World. Some fans even deemed it the “best Disney live-action remake” even before its release.

This clearly shows that Halle was perfect for this role. She even talked about the reaction of fans after seeing Part of Your World. The actress shared, “I’m just pinching myself. I feel really kind of out-of-body in a way”.
