It will be a six-episode series starring The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), Lily-Rose Depp, Blackpink’s Jennie, Debbie Ryan, Troye Sivan, Steve Zissis, Elizabeth Berkley, Troye Sivan, Hari Nef, Juliebeth Gonzalez, and others.
The story of the series will center on a “self-help guru and a cult leader” who gets into a complicated relationship with a budding popstar. The series is directed by Sam Levinson & is created by him, Abel Tesfaye The Weeknd, and Reza Fahim.
Watch the teaser below.
The teaser didn’t give out much in terms of the plot but according to the trailer, maybe the self-help guru & cult leader is the Weeknd & the rising pop star is none other than Johhny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp.
The music industry will serve as a backdrop in the series. Blackpink fans were also excited to see Jennie in the trailer, some fans were not really happy as she wasn’t in the center in the teaser. But we don’t know if she is having a major or minor role but it would be good to see her showing off her acting skills.
In the teaser, we get to see glimpses of The Weeknd & Lily-Rose Depp’s relationship, dance, money, drugs, sex, music, fun & rise to fame. It’s a teaser packed with the ups and downs of the industry and how’s it difficult to survive in it to make a name for yourself.
It would be great to see what Sam Levinson, the creator of Euphoria brings to this series. As of now, official dates haven’t been confirmed but soon we will get to know about it.
