The cast and first look for Zoya Akhtar’s much-anticipated project The Archies have finally been unveiled.
The film, which is based on Archie Comics Characters and will be released on Netflix, will star Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina. Zoya Akhtar’s Indian retro adaptation of Archie’s Comics is going to mark the Bollywood debut of many actors in the cast such as Suhana Khan, who is Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor, who is Sridevi’s younger daughter, and Agastya Nanda, who is Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson.
The First Teaser Released
Zoya shared the first teaser for the film on Instagram, which shows the ensemble cast dressed in 1960s attire posing in a wooded area. The teaser also reveals that the film will be available on Netflix next year. The short clip shows the cast acting silly and having fun on set while a catchy song by plays in the background. It depicts Archie and his gang’s bonds and friendship as they play around on what appears to be a picnic in a park near the woods.
What adds to the fans’ excitement for this movie is the fact that it will allow them the opportunity to finally see their favorite star kids act on screen.. Earlier this year, pictures of the actors in their looks from the film’s sets had appeared online. The teaser finally gives the fans a better look.
Who Will Play Who?
According to reports, Agastya will portray Archie Andrews, while Khushi and Suhana will portray Betty and Veronica. Netflix has collaborated with Archie Comics on the film, which will take place in 1960s India. Zoya and her longtime collaborator Reema Kagti produce The Archies through their production company Tiger Baby. In November of last year, Zoya announced the project on social media.
Agastya’s sister Navya Naveli Nanda expressed her excitement by dropping a red heart emoji on Zoya’s post and Amitabh Bachchan made a tweet saying he’s proud of his grandson Agastya Nanda.
