Austin Theory

The advantages of Austin Theory’s anticipated WrestleMania match against John Cena are discussed by Eric Bischoff

In Elimination Chamber, Austin Theory successfully defended his United States Title, fueling speculation that he may square off against John Cena at WrestleMania 39. Eric Bischoff stated that the fact that the match has already been locked in is simply a sign that they have every intention of elevating Austin Theory.

Being initially Vince McMahon’s protege, Theory has had a successful run since being moved to the main roster, which Bischoff considered as a major negative because Vince McMahon normally doesn’t do that type of thing. Where does Austin Theory go in my head now that Vince is presumably out of the picture? Bischoff claimed that for a while, it appeared as though he was only an afterthought there.

But this victory and his upcoming match with John Cena represent another enormous, enormous improvement in his character that will let him rub shoulders with a man like Cena.
The 16-time World Champion is scheduled to appear on WWE Raw next month, and although a bout versus Cena is not definite as of yet, Bischoff is interested to see how that plays out between them. To take his title to WrestleMania, Theory will need to fight Edge tonight on Raw, as the Rated-R Superstar is expected to accept Theory’s open challenge tonight.

John Cena will be present for the WWE Raw programme airing on March 6 in his native Boston, Massachusetts. In Melbourne, Australia, the former wrestler-turned-actor has recently been very busy filming sequences for the comedy Ricky Stanicky, which also features Jim Carrey and Zac Efron.

Notably, his subsequent WWE performance will take place during the build-up to WrestleMania 39, which will take place in Los Angeles, California, on April 1 and 2. There are rumours that at the important two-night event, Cena will square off against Austin Theory, the reigning WWE United States Champion.

Cena last made an appearance for the company on the December 30, 2022, episode of WWE SmackDown, where he and Kevin Owens defeated Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. In 2020, the WWE 2K23 video game cover hero competed in the inaugural Firefly Fun House cinematic bout versus Bray Wyatt, making that appearance his most recent WrestleMania appearance.
